ICT Competency Profile framework - Assists in establishing and reviewing courses and curricula that reflect local or regional industry requirements for graduates of their programs. ICTC also enables teachers to assess students against ICT entry-level profiles.
Focus on IT - FIT is a special two-year course of study for students in grades 11 and 12. It was created to prepare students for a world that runs on technology and offers a two-year business simulation model to give them vital real-world experience. Pilot studies have shown that more than 90% of FIT graduates go on to post-secondary education FIT graduates on average achieve marks that are 16–20% higher than those of other students, and often act as classroom mentors.
Discover IT - Provides secondary school students, educators, and parents an atmosphere of learning about careers in information technology. It includes interview videos of people in IT careers, classroom and self-directed career learning activities and career planning tools & skill evaluation tools.
OUTLOOK 2011-2015 – is a semi annual report that will forecast the need for, and the supply of, skilled workers. This report will allow educators to see the types of skills the ICT industry needs as well as the types of careers their students can expect upon graduation.
