Workshops Online

Internationally Educated Professionals (IEPs) – whether they are seasoned professionals, recent graduates or employed outside their field – are particularly well positioned to fill vital roles in Canada’s ICT sector. ICTC’s Immigration Initiatives aim to enable and facilitate the integration of IEPs into Canada’s workforce effectively.

About Workshops Online
ICTC’s Workshops Online is an e-learning tool that provides essential knowledge about:

  • working in Canada, including the process of coming to Canada;
  • what Canadian ICT employers need; and,
  • resources available to develop technical, business, language, and workplace communication competencies.

NEW Language Assessment Tool
Employers have identified Workplace Communications and Language as a key challenge to the integration of IEPs in the workplace.
ICTC has developed a set of tools that will help IEPs:

  • understand the language requirements for five (5) occupations in the Canadian ICT sector (Business Analyst, IS Manager, Programmer, Project Manager, and Web Developer);
  • assess their Canadian Language Benchmark level in English (and/or French); and
  • overcome language and workplace communication challenges.

Who is Workshops Online for?

ICTC’s Workshops Online is available free to:

  • Internationally Educated Professionals (IEPs) in and outside Canada, and
  • IEP Stakeholders providing services to IEPs, both internationally and in Canada, including visa officers, immigrant serving agencies, immigration officers, settlement and employment counsellors.
