    The information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector is global and diverse. Firms in the ICT sector that want to be competitive in recruiting talented workers, attracting investment capital, integrating with supply chains and tapping into export markets for their goods and services need to be globally facing and diverse. This is as true of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as it is of larger organizations.

    October 2006: On the Road to Building an ICT Framework for IEPs (Employer Survey Report)


    The results in this report were obtained through a small representative sample of 90 employers and 78 Internationally Educated ICT Professionals (IEPs) in Canada and are not to be used for statistical purposes. As well, the report does not include unemployed, underemployed or employed ICT workers who are not Internationally Educated ICT Professionals in its analyses.

    April 2006: Advancing Canada's Global Advantage Through International Talent


    This survey was conducted to provide quantifiable input into the Software Human Resource Council’s (SHRC)  Building an IT Framework for Internationally Educated Professionals (IEPs) initiative – designed to provide SHRC with a clear picture of the Canadian situation with regard to IEPs and ultimately lead to the development of a framework or plan of action in attraction, recruitment, integration and retention of IEPs in Canada.

    May 2005: Breaking Down Barriers to IEPs in the ICT Sector


    This report was developed in 2005 under the Researching Careers in IT project. The term “new immigrant” was used as it was the terminology in use at that time. In 2006, ICTC changed the term to “Internationally Educated Professional (IEP)” instead of “new immigrant”. Some of the data reflected in this report has changed.
