Job Analysis Validation Surveys were a part of the test development phase for I-ADVANCE™, a recognition program that provides the information and communications technology (ICT) practitioners a benchmark of the competencies required for ideal performance. The purpose of these surveys was to validate the key technical, business and interpersonal competencies required by the professional in Software, Hardware, Infrastructure, Quality Control, Technical Leadership and Business Management designations.
Competencies are knowledge, skills, and abilities required by an individual to perform her or his job successfully.
The data from these surveys is used to develop the exam specifications, namely the Test Blueprints. Based on the analysis, the top competencies identified are listed below.
