    ICTC announces a new initiative: Building HR Capacity for DM
    ICTC is pleased to announce its new initiative: Building HR Capacity for Digital Media. This exciting initiative is designed to help position Canada as a global leader in the digital economy by supporting industry’s efforts to develop a highly skilled and competitive digital media workforce, towards achieving greater success and productivity in the digital economy.

    ICTC announces its new initiative – eHealth Competency Profiles
    The Information and Communications Technology Council’s (ICTC) has received funding from the Government of Canada’s (GoC) Sector Council Program to develop competency profiles for high priority occupations in eHealth.The objective of this initiative is to identify and develop competency definitions for key in-demand eHealth occupations and domain knowledge areas (DKAs), to help mitigate the labour and skills shortages Canada is currently experiencing.

    New web-based features to be added to ICT competency profiles framework
    OTTAWA, ON (December 21, 2009) - The Information and Communications Technology Council invites its stakeholders to participate in the development of new web-based features that will be added to the ICT Competency Profiles framework in 2010. The new features will help employers create customized ICT job profiles based on the national standards of knowledge, skills and abilities needed within 36 ICT work streams in Canada.

    ICTC to conduct online focus groups for ICT competency profiles tools
    ICTC is in the process of enhancing its online ICT Competency Profiles framework with new and improved features that will make it easy, quick and effective to tailor ICT job profiles to fit the unique needs of every business.
