ABOUT ICTC AND MEMBERSHIPS IN ICTC
The Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC) is dedicated to creating a strong, diverse and highly educated Canadian ICT industry and workforce. ICTC is a catalyst for change, pushing for innovations that will provide labour market intelligence, life-long professional development, quality education and training for the Canadian ICT industry, educators, governments and the ICT workforce. We forge partnerships that help develop the quantity and quality of ICT professionals needed to improve Canada’s position as a leader in the global marketplace.
To achieve its goals, ICTC focuses on five areas that are proven building blocks of a healthy, forward-looking sector:
Standards –providing competency and skills definitions to enable employers, educators and individuals to work effectively in the ICT sector.
Labour Market Intelligence – providing up-to-date statistics, reports and analysis of human resource developments in the ICT sector.
Career Pathways – providing information to individuals, students and career transition persons, on pathways to employment in the ICT sector.
Immigration Initiatives – providing programs and tools to internationally educated IT professionals on career possibilities in Canada’s ICT sector.
Partner Activities – providing information on potential partner activities for corporations, associations, individuals and governments in the programs at the council.
MEMBERSHIP LEVELS
ICTC offers three levels of membership. Each level provides benefits tailored to stakeholder interests, ranging from partnering, HR support tools, access to information, networking and marketing opportunities.
PARTNER LEVEL MEMBER JOIN NOW
The PARTNER level of membership is designed for organizations to partner with ICTC in joint activities that benefit mutual objectives, by building a closer relationship with ICTC. Along with corporate recognition, PARTNER member benefits include:
- Corporation recognition on ICTC website/events/printed material as appropriate
- Use of the online searchable database within your organization to create job profiles, evaluate job candidates and employees, identify training and hiring needs
- First access to reports, research and sector news relevant to your interests through the member’s community
- Labour market intelligence for the IT sector
- Posting of your news events, releases and conferences on the ICTC site
- Links to ICTC sites
- Updates on sector news and events
- Receiving the sector updates on trends and reports as an insider pre-release
- Participation in surveys that take the current pulse of industry
- Input and participation in ICTC sector thru:
o shaping projects through committees
o nominations to expert panels developing future projects.
o nominations to the board of directors guiding the council
- To participate at this level, a formal Memorandum of Understanding on the benefits and deliverables of each partner must be completed

- Early access to recent graduates of the Information Technology Professional (ITP) Program

- Receiving the sector updates on trends and reports as an insider pre-release
- Participation in surveys that take the current pulse of industry
- Input and participation in ICTC sector
