ICTC Career Focus
The Career Focus Program is complete!
The reaction to the Career Focus Program of the ICTC exceeded another time our expectations! We are happy to announce that more than 66 graduates of the ICT field will do their work experience within 30 + Canadian companies. The subsidies exhausted the funding for this year via the program of the sectoral councils of the government of Canada. You can as of now make your requests for your new employees starting after April 1, 2010. Please consult our Web site for the forms.
Career Focus is a project that creates a work experience to help IT employers hire recent graduates.
Look back at 10 years of Career Focus successes.
ICTC provides eligible companies with a subsidy equal to one-third the eligible participant’s salary, to a maximum of $10,000 over a maximum one-year work experience period. This subsidy is paid in instalments throughout the work experience period, with the amount calculated using payroll data for the participant.
This offers employers the benefit of gaining employees with cutting-edge skills, and gives participants valuable experience within a work environment. Frequently, companies will retain graduates as full-time employees upon completion of the work experience period.
